New Directions Guest House is independently owned and operated by Janet and David.  We are located in a residential area in Thorp WI, a North Central Wisconsin rural community. The Guest House is adjacent to our residence, making it easy to answer your questions and to help make you feel safe and comfortable in new surroundings.  The grounds of both houses are in the process of being merged with flowers, vegetable gardens, and a more sustainable carbon foot print by using solar to capture energy for electricity and water. This house has been reclaimed to provide an alternative accommodation when lodging is needed for families visiting Thorp, the business traveler, and the tourist who is passing through the area.  The Guest House will be your private accommodation for immediate family and friends when a hotel or motel setting doesn't work for your group. There are three bedrooms upstairs containing a king bed, a queen bed, and a set of bunk beds.  On the first floor there is a bedroom with a queen bed that has a small adjoining room with a full sized bed. There is also a queen sized sofa bed in the living room.  The house has two full bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a refrigerator, electric range, coffee maker and coffee, toaster, and microwave.  A 47" internet/apps enabled flat screen TV, Directv, wifi, central air conditioning, and prints of original art round out the amenities provided.
Over the years we have traveled to many parts of the world and stayed in numerous guest houses, bed and breakfasts, and motels.  New Directions Guest House is our way of incorporating those experiences into this accommodation option.
